Final Fantasy XIV Release Date Revealed

Ok this is the big day is September 30th for all. Or is it, Square-Enix has announced now on all of their 3 territories that their will be a collectors edition and standard edition, collectors get 8 days head start yay. PS3 users get 6 month delay.

Thats correct according to the official website at the official Final Fantasy XIV website we wont be seeing the PS3 version of the game until early March, and as a PS3 owner myself I know how annoying this is, especially as SE have said several times that it will be a similitanious release for all territories and platforms announced.

On the plus side the CE version is packed with lots of goodies which you should check out on your official Site as each CE version JP, US and EU all have different goodies inside. But ontop of that the standard edition get some pretty funky looking goggles which allows them to level up faster when pre-ordering, which is useful since they will be 8 days behind(servers permitting). I assume there will be a time limit of how long they work, first 14 days of registering or something, similiar to Aeons similar item.

So what will you do, get the CE, standard, or curse SE for delaying the PS3 version you were o so waiting for?

E3 2010 Final Fantasy XIV

So yesterday was the sony conference and we got to catch a glimpse of more FFXIV and life in Eorzea. A brand new Trailer and also some live reports.

Here in the trailer, we get to see some great new things, Chocobos and MOOGLES, yay moogles.

We also get to see a live demo of how the battle system has improved since the alpha and also FFXIV in 3d /drool. Although it seems at the moment this is just a tech demo for the possibility of 3d rather than it will be in 3d
